Feaster - Sound A bass player and composer, I work in a variety of projects here in New York City. The Velvet Mafia is a queer rock extravaganza fronted by Dean Johnson (www.velvetmafiatheband.com). Our shows are guaranteed to shake your booty and put a smile on your face! I play bass and co-write the music. I also work with Circus Amok, an award winning troupe that performs free, outdoor circus in parks around NYC that blends daring acrobatics with cutting edge political commentary and rockin’ music that’s a feast for eyes, ears and minds (www.circusamok.org). Another project is The Electric Junkyard Gamelan, an ensemble headed by Terry Dame who builds instruments out of household and industrial objects. The music she composes, while influenced by Indonesian gamelan, has a unique and entrancing sound all it’s own (www.terrydame.com). On my own I have composed and recorded music for numerous independent films and videos which have been screened at festivals, museums and broadcast on public television worldwide. |
